EXPERIENCE DESCRIPTION
A theory-and-practice workshop to introduce you to seasonal flower growing from an organic, hands-on perspective. You will learn what to plant at different times of year, how to read the floral calendar, and the differences between seeds, bulbs, tubers and corms.
In the practical part, you will prepare your own seed tray and build a bulb lasagna, layering different species to create staggered flowering in spring. You will take both plantings home to keep caring for them and watch them develop.
FLORA ET LABORA
Flora et Labora is a floral studio based in Beget, in Alta Garrotxa, where they grow their own flowers organically and seasonally. Their work brings together cultivation and floral design for events, weddings and workshops, with an ethical and aesthetic commitment to using their own plant material and reducing impact on the landscape.
WHAT WILL YOU GET FROM THIS EXPERIENCE?
You will learn how to plan a small flower plot according to the season, choose the right type of plant material, and sow for strong germination. You will also make a seed tray and a bulb lasagna that you can continue caring for at home.
