The best pairing is the one you like best
In this tasting, Marta Clot invites you to play a game: taste four Swiss cheeses and four Catalan natural wines and discover your favourite combinations. Less jargon and more senses, so everyone finds their own pairing.
You'll get to know two classics of the Swiss cheesemaking tradition, Le Gruyère AOP and Tête de Moine AOP, each at two different ages, alongside four wines from small producers who, like Swiss cheesemakers, work with respect for origin and terroir.
You'll note down what you like most on your tasting sheet and, at the end, we'll share the results: what one person loves, another might not enjoy at all.
What will we do?
· Learn about the origins, craftsmanship and values of Swiss cheeses
· Discover what natural wine is and the philosophy of the projects behind it
· Learn what to look for when tasting a cheese and a wine
· Taste and compare Le Gruyère AOP Classic and Reserve, and Tête de Moine AOP Classic and Gold, with four natural wines
· See the girolle in action, the unique tool used to shave Tête de Moine AOP into flower-shaped rosettes
· Vote for your favourite combinations and compare opinions with the rest of the group
No experience is required. A tasting designed to enjoy, share your opinion and be surprised.
MARTA CLOT
Marta Clot is a sommelier and wine communicator. She trained as a sommelier at CETT in Barcelona and worked at Wine Palace before devoting herself to bringing wine closer to hundreds of thousands of people, in a direct, fun and unpretentious way, through @lamartaclot and @ladelsvins.
In 2023 she was awarded Best Catalan Wine Ambassador by DO Catalunya, and in 2026 she was named Masovera by Vinya Celler Masia, a collective of small wineries.
