This will be a chocolate tasting produced by Kaitxo, starting with different cacao beans from different origins, where we will talk about the different types of chocolate and its nuances according to the ingredients you will mix with it, specially with the Maldon Salt.
Kaitxo is a bean to bar chocolate producer and a specialty coffee roaster. That's where its name comes from (Ka from café in Spanish and Txo from Txokolate in Euskera). This brand is from Balmaseda, around 28km from Bilbao. Kaitxo are the first to produce bean to bar in the basque country and the first specialty coffee roaster. From 2017 their main objective is to teach and make everybody taste different varieties of cacao transformed into chocolate, we want to teach that coffee and chocolate are two incredible products as fascinating than olive oil and wine for example.
