ACTIVITY DESCRIPTION

At a time when the food scene is constantly evolving and new restaurants keep opening, the traditional “bodega” , a space historically linked to wine and neighbourhood life, is gaining renewed attention. But what does a bodega mean today?

This round table brings together voices from across the sector to reflect on its present and future, from traditional models to new interpretations that redefine the concept. A conversation about identity, memory and the role of bodegas in the city.

PROJECT DESCRIPTION

Moderated by gastronomic journalist David León Himelfarb and presented by Irene Gonzalvo, consultant and co-founder of Two Ninjas. Featuring Carmen Cortés (betevé), Óscar Broc (El Periódico, El Comidista), Alberto García Moyano (Bodega Montferry, Bodega Carol) and Neus Pérez Estal (Quimet & Quimet).

WHAT WILL YOU GET FROM THE EXPERIENCE?

You’ll explore how the concept of the bodega has evolved and its role in Barcelona’s food culture today. Through different perspectives, the session invites reflection on tradition, identity and new ways of understanding these spaces.
